Richteren 18:7

SV	Toen gingen die vijf mannen heen, en kwamen te Lais; en zij zagen het volk, hetwelk in derzelver midden was, zijnde gelegen in zekerheid, naar de wijze der Sidoniers, stil en zeker zijnde; en daar was geen erfheer, die [iemand] om enige zaak schande aandeed in dat land; ook waren zij verre van de Sidoniers, en hadden niets te doen met enigen mens.
WLC	וַיֵּלְכוּ֙ חֲמֵ֣שֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁ֔ים וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ לָ֑יְשָׁה וַיִּרְא֣וּ אֶת־הָעָ֣ם אֲשֶׁר־בְּקִרְבָּ֣הּ יֹושֶֽׁבֶת־לָ֠בֶטַח כְּמִשְׁפַּ֨ט צִדֹנִ֜ים שֹׁקֵ֣ט ׀ וּבֹטֵ֗חַ וְאֵין־מַכְלִ֨ים דָּבָ֤ר בָּאָ֙רֶץ֙ יֹורֵ֣שׁ עֶ֔צֶר וּרְחֹקִ֥ים הֵ֙מָּה֙ מִצִּ֣דֹנִ֔ים וְדָבָ֥ר אֵין־לָהֶ֖ם עִם־אָדָֽם׃
Trans.	wayyēləḵû ḥămēšeṯ hā’ănāšîm wayyāḇō’û lāyəšâ wayyirə’û ’eṯ-hā‘ām ’ăšer-bəqirəbāh ywōšeḇeṯ-lāḇeṭ^aḥ kəmišəpaṭ ṣiḏōnîm šōqēṭ ûḇōṭēḥa wə’ên-maḵəlîm dāḇār bā’āreṣ ywōrēš ‘eṣer ûrəḥōqîm hēmmâ miṣṣiḏōnîm wəḏāḇār ’ên-lâem ‘im-’āḏām:

AC	ז וילכו חמשת האנשים ויבאו לישה ויראו את העם אשר בקרבה יושבת לבטח כמשפט צדנים שקט ובטח ואין מכלים דבר בארץ יורש עצר ורחוקים המה מצידנים ודבר אין להם עם אדם
ASV	Then the five men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people that were therein, how they dwelt in security, after the manner of the Sidonians, quiet and secure; for there was none in the land, possessing authority, that might put [them] to shame in anything, and they were far from the Sidonians, and had no dealings with any man.
BE	Then the five men went on their way and came to Laish and saw the people who were there, living without thought of danger, like the Zidonians, quiet and safe; for they had everything on earth for their needs, and they were far from the Zidonians and had no business with Aram.
Darby	And the five men departed, and came to Laish; and they saw the people that were therein, dwelling securely, after the manner of the Zidonians, quiet and secure; and no one was in the land who possessed authority, that might put [them] to shame in anything; and they were far from the Zidonians, and had nothing to do with [any] man.
ELB05	Und die fünf Männer gingen hin und kamen nach Lais; und sie sahen das Volk, das darin war, in Sicherheit wohnen, nach Art der Zidonier, ruhig und sicher; und niemand, der die Herrschaft besessen hätte im Lande, tat ihnen irgend etwas zuleide; und sie waren fern von den Zidoniern und hatten mit Menschen nichts zu schaffen. -
LSG	Les cinq hommes partirent, et ils arrivèrent à Laïs. Ils virent le peuple qui y était vivant en sécurité à la manière des Sidoniens, tranquille et sans inquiétude; il n'y avait dans le pays personne qui leur fît le moindre outrage en dominant sur eux; ils étaient éloignés des Sidoniens, et ils n'avaient pas de liaison avec d'autres hommes.
Sch	Da gingen die fünf Männer hin und kamen gen Lais; und sie sahen, daß das Volk, das darin war, sicher wohnte nach der Weise der Zidonier, ruhig und sicher; und es war niemand im Lande, der ihnen etwas zuleide tat; sie besaßen Reichtum und wohnten fern von den Zidoniern und hatten mit keinem Menschen etwas zu tun.
Web	Then the five men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people that were in it, how they dwelt careless, after the manner of the Zidonians, quiet and secure; and there was no magistrate in the land, that might put them to shame in any thing; and they were far from the Zidonians, and had no business with any man.
